I’m a South Florida girl turned military spouse, photographer, marketing major, and girl mom with big dreams. Obsessed with: tacos, jeggings, salt air, reading in the sunshine, and all things newfies. I've been keepin' it real since 1986.
Morning coffee before the kids wake up, 30 minutes of reading, cuddles with my kids + newfoundland, and daily chats with my mil. spouse besties
Touring Europe with my family, on coaching calls with my awesome clients, making dinner, hand embroidering, reading under a tree with a La Croix
The hustle lifestyle, late nights, competing with others or eat things just because you're supposed to or "it's healthy".
Straight talk, ice-cold drinks, short emails, data, the power of lists, and cutting out the 'okay' to make room for the very best.
Just 9 months after starting classes, we packed up our family, sold our house and moved overseas to Germany. As we were settling into our lives in a new country, the unthinkable happened: Corona hit and the world shut down. I was now balancing my classes, virtual school for our oldest, building a business, and my husband's crazy schedule that changed every few days.
Shortly before graduating with my Bachelor's in Marketing, I realized something: no was teaching entrepreneurs has to combine branding and marketing to grow their businesses. I knew the best way I could serve my community was to combine my skills as a photographer + military spouse with my knowledge of branding + marketing to create a new type of business, one that looks at business strategy holistically. And so, Amy Clark Creative was born.
My superpower is helping military spouse entrepreneurs succeed at building the kind of life and business they want.... one filled with joy, connection and peace.
My passion for photography has literally been a lifetime in the making. I was the kid who always had a camera in her hand and took pictures of literally everything. My mom used to grab a handful of film cases from my closet, have them developed, and put the prints in my stocking at Christmas. I even worked in portrait studio through high school until I joined the Navy.
A few months later, I was in A-school in Virginia Beach where I met this incredibly handsome and sweet man. We started dating, then got orders to separate continents; he went to England and I went to Japan. 3 years later I was out of the Navy after battling depression + anxiety. I took a leap of faith, moved back to Virginia to be with him and we were married 3 months later.
I worked at 2 more portrait studios before deciding to start my own photography business. Less than a year later we moved from Virginia to Hawaii and found out I was pregnant (during the move). I continued working on my photography business and 3 years + 2 babies later, we moved to Washington state. While pregnant with our third daughter I decided I wanted to go back to school to study marketing. I put my business on the back burner and started taking classes with a 2, 4 and 4 month old at home. It was then I decided I didn't want to just take pictures anymore: I wanted to help my fellow military spouse entrepreneurs to build their dream businesses.

This girl has a BIG imagination and even bigger heart. She’s a blonde haired, blue eyed firecracker + has caused people to walk away to keep from laughing when she went into a full-blown sass attack. She loves to sing and will dance to literally any music. She loves learning about science, especially space and dreams of working in some S.T.E.A.M. that will allow her combine art + science. Our first Hawaii baby, she's constantly suggesting vacations to the beach + prefers summer to all other season.
This girl will make some big waves one day! We can totally see her running a boardroom in 6-inch heels + a bright pink power suit. She loves dresses and sparkly shoes, but she's the first one to jump in a mud puddle and almost always has dirt on her face. She's kind and caring, but doesn't let others push her around. Siggy's imagination is always at work and she loves superheroes, drawing + creating books and doing math.
Our forever Valentine, Vara completed our little family 4 years ago. She's an absolute goofball and loves to make people laugh. She has a wild spirit, is obsessed with bunnies, and has a squeal that could make a dolphin say "ohh, child". She's known for using her dimples to cute her way out of trouble and is usually the last one to fall asleep at bedtime. Definitely the "baby" of the family, she has a strong will and expects to get her way. We look forward to visiting whatever small country she takes over in the future.
